خرجنا لنستسقي بيُمنِ دُعائه

وقد كادَ هُدب الغيم أن يبلغَ الأرضا

We went out to seek rain through the blessing of his prayer.

And the fringe of the clouds had almost reached the earth.

فلمّا ابتدا يدعو تَقَشَّعَتِ السَما

فلمّا ابتدا يدعو تَقَشَّعَتِ السَما

فما تمَّ إِلّا والغمامُ قد انقضّا

فما تمَّ إِلّا والغمامُ قد انقضّا

But when he began to pray, the sky cleared.

By the time he finished, the clouds had already broken up.
