كَأَنَّas though عَذِيرَهُمtheir throng بِجُنُوبِalong the flanks of سِلّىSillā
كَأَنَّ عَذِيرَهُم بِجُنُوبِ سِلّى
نَعامُostriches قاقَQāq فيin بَلَدٍa land قِفارِdesolate
نَعامُ قاقَ في بَلَدٍ قِفارِ
Their throng along the flanks of Sillā is like
As though their fragrance were from the south Silla,
The ostriches of Qāq in a desolate land.
An ostrich cooing in a barren land.
