فَإِن صَدَقُوا قَالُوا جَوادٌ مُجَرَّبٌ

ضَلِيعٌ وَمِن خَيرٍ الجيِادِ ضَلِيعُها

ضَلِيعٌ وَمِن خَيرٍ الجيِادِ ضَلِيعُها

So if they speak truth, they say: “A tried and tested steed,

So they say, if he's truthful and generous

Broad-ribbed—and broad-ribbed steeds are among the finest.”
