عَفا أَبرَقُ المَردومِ مِنها وَقَد يُرى

عَفا أَبرَقُ المَردومِ مِنها وَقَد يُرى

بِهِ مَحضَرٌ مِن أَهلِها ومَصِيفُ

بِهِ مَحضَرٌ مِن أَهلِها ومَصِيفُ

Abraq al-Mardum lies desolate, bereft of her, though once there could be seen

The lightning of Mardum shone from it, and it was seen

there a gathering of her people and a summer camp.

In it an assembly of its people and a summer resort
