وَقَد طاحَ مِنْ أُخرى وَظيفٌ وَمفصلُ
She sways on her stiff, sturdy legs,
A cry calls out in the market with revelers
While another's shank and joint have already given way.
As tasks and joints in another fall apart

A venturesome mount, whose like is not sought for aid
A venture not cried for help by any like it
By a weakling, nor a base, feeble man among the people.
Neither coward nor hero there lowered himself
