أَخَذواthey took قِسِيَّهُمُtheir bows بِأَيمُنِهِمin their right hands
أَخَذوا قِسِيَّهُمُ بِأَيمُنِهِم
يَتَعَظَّلونَthey crowd over one another تَعَظُّلَthe crowding of النَملِants
يَتَعَظَّلونَ تَعَظُّلَ النَملِ
They took their bows in their right hands,
crowding over one another as ants do.
وَتَرىand you see الذَميمَheat-blisters عَلىupon مَراسِنِهِمtheir noses
وَتَرى الذَميمَ عَلى مَراسِنِهِم
غِبَّafter العَجاجِthe dust-cloud كَمازِنِlike the eggs of الجَثلِblack ants
غِبَّ العَجاجِ كَمازِنِ الجَثلِ
And you see heat-blisters upon their noses,
after the dust-cloud, like the eggs of black ants.
