وإنيand indeed I لأعطيI surely give النصفfair treatment منto one who لوif ظلمتهI wronged him
وإني لأعطي النصف من لو ظلمته
أقرhe would acquiesce وطابتand would be content نفسهhis soul ليfrom me بالظلمwith injustice
أقر وطابت نفسه لي بالظلم
And I surely give fair treatment to one who, were I to wrong him,
And indeed I would give half my wealth if I have wronged a person
would acquiesce, his soul content with injustice from me.
To delight his soul against me, though I be in the wrong
