ياO عِصمَةَprotector العَرَبِthe Arabs التّيwho لَولَمif not تَكُنyou were
يا عِصمَةَ العَرَبِ التّي لَولَم تَكُن
حَيّاًalive إِذاًthen كانَتthey would be بِغَيرِwithout عِمادِa pillar
حَيّاً إِذاً كانَت بِغَيرِ عِمادِ
O protector of the Arabs—were you not
O pillar of the Arabs, if you did not exist
alive, they would then be without a pillar.
