- بلت به علا بطامئراʿUlā bore him, massive and stout,
- بين طري سمك ومالحBetween fresh fish and salted fish,
- ثمت خله الممر الأسمراThen pierce him with the stout brown spear;
- حياكة عن كعثب لم يصمحA woman swaying her hips because of a fleshy pubic mound that has not shriveled.
- كل شيء ما خلا جاري جللEverything except my neighbor is of little consequence.
- يا من رأى النعمان كان حيراO you who saw al-Nuʿmān—he was bountiful;
