أَتى لِبابِكَ هذا النَصر مُذ خَفقت

رايات وَفقك يا توفيق بِالفَلك

رايات وَفقك يا توفيق بِالفَلك

This victory came to your gate when there fluttered

Victory has come to your doorstep since the day

The banners of your good fortune, O Tawfiq, in the firmament.

your banners fluttered, O Tewfik, in the sky.

وَعَم ذا البَشر من في الاِرضِ من بشر

وَعَم ذا البَشر من في الاِرضِ من بشر

حظا وَفَوزا وَما بِالاِفق من ملك

حظا وَفَوزا وَما بِالاِفق من ملك

And this gladness reached every mortal on earth,

Good fortune and success have come to all people on earth,

And every angel in the heavens, with fortune and triumph.

as well as all kingship on the horizon.

نعم اِفتِتاح الهَنا يا مِصر فَاِبتَسِمي

نعم اِفتِتاح الهَنا يا مِصر فَاِبتَسِمي

وَاِستَبشِري فَرحاً فَالسَعدُ تم لَك

وَاِستَبشِري فَرحاً فَالسَعدُ تم لَك

What a fine beginning of joy, O Egypt—so smile,

Yes, a new era has dawned, O Egypt! So smile

And rejoice gladly, for your good fortune is complete.

and rejoice in your joy—happiness is now yours.

آب الخديوي وَنَصر اللَه بقدمه

آب الخديوي وَنَصر اللَه بقدمه

وَعرف آثاره بَينَ الاِنام زَكى

وَعرف آثاره بَينَ الاِنام زَكى

The Khedive returned, with God's victory in his footsteps;

The Khedive’s father and God’s victory by his feet

And the fragrance of his deeds grew sweet among humankind.

have made his influence renowned among people.

رَفَعَت بدر الاِماني في الوَرى علما

رَفَعَت بدر الاِماني في الوَرى علما

أَضاءَ بِالنورِ ما في الاِرضِ من حبك

أَضاءَ بِالنورِ ما في الاِرضِ من حبك

She raised the full moon of hopes as a banner among humankind;

The full moon of hopes has raised a flag in the world

It illuminated every path on earth with light.

that illuminates with light everything on earth that you love.
