قرت عُيون السَعادَةِ بِالصَفا

مُذ بشرت بِسمي عَم المُصطَفى

مُذ بشرت بِسمي عَم المُصطَفى

The eyes of happiness were gladdened by serenity,

The eyes of happiness shone with joy

Since they received glad tidings of the namesake of al-Mustafa’s paternal uncle.

Since the good tidings of the efforts of Al-Mustafa

عباس أَشرَق بِالمَعالي نجمه

عباس أَشرَق بِالمَعالي نجمه

من نير التَوفيق سَعد أَشرَقا

من نير التَوفيق سَعد أَشرَقا

Abbas—his star shone with lofty distinction;

Abbas' star shone with glories

From the luminary of success, good fortune shone forth.

With the light of success it shone brightly

رَقَصَت بمنبتها الغُصون بَشارَة

رَقَصَت بمنبتها الغُصون بَشارَة

بِقُدوم من بوجودِهِ دهر صفا

بِقُدوم من بوجودِهِ دهر صفا

The boughs danced where they grew, in glad celebration,

The branches danced with glad tidings

At the coming of one whose presence made the age serene.

Of the arrival of one whose existence purified the times

قالَت ميامن بشره تهن الوَرى

قالَت ميامن بشره تهن الوَرى

فَالاِمن وَالتَوفيق فَوزا أَخلَفا

فَالاِمن وَالتَوفيق فَوزا أَخلَفا

The auspicious signs of his glad tidings said: may humankind rejoice.

The water said whoever brings him good news will have the world rejoice

So security and success together yielded triumph.

So security and success followed in his wake
