الناس شَتّى في الصِفات فَلا تَكُن

الناس شَتّى في الصِفات فَلا تَكُن

مِمَّن يَقيس الدر يَوما بِالبَرد

مِمَّن يَقيس الدر يَوما بِالبَرد

People differ in their qualities, so do not be

People are diverse in their natures - do not be

Among those who ever compare pearls with hail.

One who judges the pearl some day by the hailstone.

اِن قِست فظا بِالرَقيق فَلا تَلُم

اِن قِست فظا بِالرَقيق فَلا تَلُم

مِن بَعد نَفسَك في الوَرى أَبدا أَحد

مِن بَعد نَفسَك في الوَرى أَبدا أَحد

If you compare a harsh person with a gentle one, then do not blame

If you judge harshly the tender one, do not blame

Anyone in the world but yourself, ever.

After yourself in creation anyone, ever.
