If you pass with the caravan, O driver of the mounts, return
To those whose fragrance is oud to the people of love.

وَاِرحمْ عَليل الهَوى وَارددْ عَلَيه وَجود
And behold a lovesick man, grown thin as a twig through their desertion.
And pity love’s ailing one; answer him and be generous.

He has none but them; he woos one who gives generously and returns.
