بِالخالِ وَاِبتَعَد الصُدود
He has indeed appeared, his cheeks dotted
The one with dotted cheeks was made clear
With a beauty mark, and rejection has receded.
By the moles, and the coldness went away.
لَوif جازَwere permitted لِلمَضنىto the love-worn one السُجودprostration
لَو جازَ لِلمَضنى السُجود

لَسَجَدَت شُكراً لِلهَوى
Were prostration permitted to the love-worn,
If it was allowed for the suffering one to prostrate
I would prostrate in gratitude to love.
He would have prostrated in thanks to passion.
