A liver whose burning he prolonged with his fire;
My liver prolongs with its kindling, its flames
I always see it contentedly submissive to him.
Forever I see it, following pleasure, obedient
عُنقيmy neck بِاِغلالwith the fetters الهَوىlove لَوif قادَهhe led it

If he led my neck with the fetters of love,
If the fetters of passion pulled my neck where they lead
I would see that his bounty is all-embracing.
You'd see that his grace is perfect, complete
