كَم مِن بَدائِع تَلاها لِلفُؤاد عَطفك
People are captives of beauty, and I am captive to your charm.
People are prisoners of beauty, and I am a prisoner of your charm
How many wonders your tenderness has recited to the heart!
How many marvels has your kindness recited to my heart

He smiled and said to me, 'Enjoy yourself'; I said, 'Thanks to your kindness.'
He smiled and said to me, enjoy, I said, from your kindness
When I saw the figure sway in the garden of your beauty,
When I saw the stature in the garden of your beauty lean
كَمhow often قُلتI said لوزرapparently: to him, visit سَقيمكyour ailing one وَالنبيand by the Prophet زرفكapparently: visit and free him
كَم قُلت لوزر سَقيمك وَالنبي زرفك
How often I told him, 'Visit your ailing one—and, by the Prophet, visit and set him free!'
How often have I said to your sick companion, by the Prophet your teardrop
