أراكَ اللَه فيه ما تريدُ

أراكَ اللَه فيه ما تريدُ

ولا برحت معاليهِ تزيدُ

ولا برحت معاليهِ تزيدُ

May God show you in him what you desire,

May Allah grant you what you wish

And may his noble qualities never cease to grow.

And may you continue to rise in stature

فَقد دلّت مخايله على ما

فَقد دلّت مخايله على ما

تؤمّله وطالعه السعيدُ

تؤمّله وطالعه السعيدُ

For his promising signs have pointed to what

For your ambitions have shown

You hope for, as has his auspicious rising star.

What the fortunate hope for

تشوّقتِ الجياد له وهزّ الـ

تشوّقتِ الجياد له وهزّ الـ

ـحسام هوى وأشرقتِ البنودُ

ـحسام هوى وأشرقتِ البنودُ

The steeds yearned for him, and stirred was the

The steeds yearned for him, love drew the sword

Sword by longing, and the banners shone.

And the stars shone bright

فَسوف تراه بدراً في سماءٍ

فَسوف تراه بدراً في سماءٍ

منَ العليا كواكبه الجنودُ

منَ العليا كواكبه الجنودُ

So you will see him as a full moon in a sky

Soon you will see him a full moon

Of glory, the troops his stars.

In the highest heavens with his soldiers, the stars

وكيفَ يخيبُ شبل قد نمتهُ

وكيفَ يخيبُ شبل قد نمتهُ

إِلى العليا ضراغمة أسودُ

إِلى العليا ضراغمة أسودُ

And how could a lion cub fail, when he has been raised

How can the hopes of a cub reared

To glory by mighty lions?

To greatness by valiant black lions be dashed

فَأنتم آل عامر خير آلٍ

فَأنتم آل عامر خير آلٍ

زكا الأبناء منكم والجدودُ

زكا الأبناء منكم والجدودُ

For you, House of Amir, are the best of houses;

You Aal Aamer are the best family

Your sons and forefathers alike are noble.

Your sons and ancestors were virtuous

وَليدكم لَدى رأي كشيخ

وَليدكم لَدى رأي كشيخ

وَشيخكمُ لدى حربٍ وليدُ

وَشيخكمُ لدى حربٍ وليدُ

Your child is like an elder in counsel,

Your child has the wisdom of an elder

And your elder is a child in battle.

And your elder has the valor of a youth
