ولا أشتهي الموالي

ولا أشتهي الموالي

براذينُهُم صليبهْ

براذينُهُم صليبهْ

Nor do I care for the mawali;

I do not desire their wealth

their packhorses are purebred.

Their necks bear the cross

عجائزُهُمْ يقُدْنَ

عجائزُهُمْ يقُدْنَ

ويزْنينَ في الشبيبهْ

ويزْنينَ في الشبيبهْ

Their old women act as procuresses

Their old women lead

and fornicate in their youth.

And commit adultery in their youth

وإنَّ اختلافَ دَعْوى

وإنَّ اختلافَ دَعْوى

بني واحدٍ لريبَهْ

بني واحدٍ لريبَهْ

And indeed, conflicting claims of descent

Surely the differing claims

by one man's sons are surely cause for suspicion.

Of the children of one are suspicious
