يشْرحُgladdens الهَمْسُthe whispering صدرهاher breast والضجيجand the clamor
يشْرحُ الهَمْسُ صدرها والضجيج
حينwhen يأويseeks refuge إلىto حماهاher sanctuary الحجيجُthe pilgrims
حين يأوي إلى حماها الحجيجُ
Whispering and clamor gladden her breast
The murmuring clears its chest, and the clamor
When pilgrims seek refuge in her sanctuary.
When the pilgrim takes refuge in its protection
مهبطُplace of descent الوحيِthe revelation والقداساتand the sanctities فيهاwithin her
مهبطُ الوحيِ والقداسات فيها
يتسامىsoars السَّناthe radiance ويزْكوand grows sweeter الأريجُthe fragrance
يتسامى السَّنا ويزْكو الأريجُ
The place where revelation and sanctities descend—within her
The place of revelation and sanctity within it
radiance soars and fragrance grows sweeter.
Glory rises, and aromatic plants grow
كلَّevery يومٍday لهاto her المواكبُthe processions تترىfollow one another
كلَّ يومٍ لها المواكبُ تترى
أنفسٌsouls خُشَّعٌhumbly reverent وبَحْرٌand a sea يموجsurges
أنفسٌ خُشَّعٌ وبَحْرٌ يموج
Every day, processions come to her in succession:
Every day, processions are seen towards it
Reverent souls, and a surging sea.
Humbled souls, and a surging sea
وعليهاand upon her مشاعرُfeelings الخيرgoodness تَزْهوbloom
وعليها مشاعرُ الخير تَزْهو
فإذاand behold الأرضُthe earth والسَّماءُand the sky مروجُmeadows
فإذا الأرضُ والسَّماءُ مروجُ
And upon her, feelings of goodness bloom,
And feelings of goodness blossom upon it
And behold, the earth and sky are meadows.
So the earth and the heavens become meadows
