شكا من التَطَفُّلُ واسْتجارا
And a neighbor who violated the neighborhood's rights
A neighbor living near upright neighbors
complained of meddling and sought protection.
Complained of intrusion and sought protection
يُقِصُّdisturbs (apparently intended) مضاجعيmy sleeping places ليلاًat night ويُدْميand makes bleed
يُقِصُّ مضاجعي ليلاً ويُدْمي
مشاعرَthe feelings أسْرَتيof my family كَمَداًwith anguish نهاراby day
مشاعرَ أسْرَتي كَمَداً نهارا
He disturbs my sleep by night and makes
Disturbing my sleep at night, and troubling
my family's feelings bleed with anguish by day.
My family's feelings all day long
تَفُوحُreek ثيابُthe clothes ملبسهof his attire غُروراًof arrogance
تَفُوحُ ثيابُ ملبسه غُروراً
وينضَحُand oozes وجهُهُhis face حِقْداًhatred وعاراand disgrace
وينضَحُ وجهُهُ حِقْداً وعارا
The clothes he wears reek of arrogance,
His clothes reek of arrogance
and his face oozes hatred and disgrace.
His face oozes with hatred and shame
يهيمُis enamored بكلِّof everyone مُعْتَلِّdiseased السجاياin character
يهيمُ بكلِّ مُعْتَلِّ السجايا
ويصطَحِبُand takes along الدَّناءةَbaseness أيْنَwherever ساراhe went
ويصطَحِبُ الدَّناءةَ أيْنَ سارا
He is enamored of everyone of diseased character,
He fraternizes with all kinds of scoundrels
and takes baseness along wherever he goes.
And befriends villainy wherever he goes
