ياO وزيرَminister البلادِof the country جئناwe came نحيّيwe salute
يا وزيرَ البلادِ جئنا نحيّي
كyou (object suffix) ونطريand we praise الصنيعَthe good deed يتلوfollows الصنيعاthe good deed
ك ونطري الصنيعَ يتلو الصنيعا
O minister of the country, we have come to salute
you, and praise good deed following good deed.
ماnot شفاءُhealing المرضىthe sick وفكُand freeing الأسارىthe captives
ما شفاءُ المرضى وفكُ الأسارى
وأمانُand the safety البريءof the innocent لاقىmet الشفيعاthe intercessor
وأمانُ البريء لاقى الشفيعا
Neither healing the sick nor freeing captives,
nor the safety of an innocent who has found an intercessor,
مثلequal to تخفيفكyour easing الديونthe debts علىupon الأرthe land (word continues)
مثل تخفيفك الديون على الأر
ضcompletion of 'land' وتيسيركand your facilitating الوفاءrepayment المنيعاthe hard-to-achieve
ض وتيسيرك الوفاء المنيعا
can match your easing the debts upon the land
and your making difficult repayment easy.
أنتyou خلصتهاyou saved it منfrom البيعsale جبراًforcibly
أنت خلصتها من البيع جبراً
فتملكتَso you took possession of مالكيهاits owners جميعاall
فتملكتَ مالكيها جميعا
You saved it from forced sale,
and so made all its owners your own.
