For within it, many a star’s light has blazed forth.

When the drinking companions’ intoxication has passed and they behold
Your beauty, intoxication returns to them as it first arose.
تَجَلَّىrevealed himself بِأَوْصَافِwith the attributes of الجَمَالِbeauty جَمِيعِهَاall of them

And He who led the night journey revealed to His servant’s inmost heart,
So he became openly a master among the lovers.

وَإِيَاكَand beware والإِشْرَاكَand associating partners فِيin دِينِthe religion of حُبِّهِhis love
وَإِيَاكَ والإِشْرَاكَ فِي دِينِ حُبِّهِ

And be bound to nothing but beauty.
