أَيُّهَا العَائبُ عِند أُمّ زَيدٍ
أَنتِyou (feminine singular) تَفديyou ransom مَنthe one whom أَراكَI see you (masculine singular) تَعيبُyou disparage
أَنتِ تَفدي مَن أَراكَ تَعيبُ
O faultfinder in Umm Zayd’s presence,
O you who find fault with the mother of Zayd
You ransom the one I see you disparage.
You redeem whoever you see you find fault with
