ولا تَأمَنَن مِن مُبغِضٍ قُربَ دارِهِ

ولا تَأمَنَن مِن مُبغِضٍ قُربَ دارِهِ

ولا مِن مُحبٍّ أَن يَمَلَّ فَيبعُدا

ولا مِن مُحبٍّ أَن يَمَلَّ فَيبعُدا

Never feel safe from a hater whose home is near,

Do not feel safe from an enemy whose house is near,

Nor be sure one who loves you will not tire and draw away.

Nor from a friend, lest he grow weary and keep his distance.
