If only you would drive sorrow from me for an hour,

So we might spend the night at ease, whatever might come.
So we might spend the night as my fantasies entertained

Does my wakeful sleep not satisfy you—
Does it not gladden you that I lay awake
My longing, besides all that assails me, and my languishing?
Yearning for what afflicts me and keeps me restless
