كُنَّاwe were كَمَاas كُنتُمُyou were حيناًfor a time فَغيَّرنَاthen changed us
كُنَّا كَمَا كُنتُمُ حيناً فَغيَّرنَا
دَهرٌtime فَسَوفَso shall كَمَاas صِرنَاwe have become تَصيرُونَاyou will become
دَهرٌ فَسَوفَ كَمَا صِرنَا تَصيرُونَا
For a time we were as you were; then we were changed
We were as you are now, and time will change you as it changed us.
By time; and as we have become, so shall you become.
