هَنَأناهُمُ حتَّى أَعانَ عَلَيهمُ

هَنَأناهُمُ حتَّى أَعانَ عَلَيهمُ

نُجومٌ مِنَ العَوَّا يَثوبُ غُيومُها

نُجومٌ مِنَ العَوَّا يَثوبُ غُيومُها

We provided for them until we were aided in their support

We congratulated them until stars

by stars of al-ʿAwwā, whose clouds return.

from the firmament rained down their clouds
