فإِن يَذكُرِ النُّعمانُ سَعيي وسَعيَهُم

فإِن يَذكُرِ النُّعمانُ سَعيي وسَعيَهُم

يَكُن خُطَّةً يَكفي ويَسعَى بِعَمَّال

يَكُن خُطَّةً يَكفي ويَسعَى بِعَمَّال

So if al-Nuʿmān remembers my striving and theirs,

it will be a plan that suffices, and he will strive through workers.

فَعُدتُ كَذا نُجح يُرَجَّي نُصُورَهُ

فَعُدتُ كَذا نُجح يُرَجَّي نُصُورَهُ

يَبينُ فلا يَبعُد كَذي الخَلَقِ الباَلي

يَبينُ فلا يَبعُد كَذي الخَلَقِ الباَلي

So I returned thus; success, whose aid is hoped for,

becomes clear and is not far away, like one in a worn, threadbare garment.
