Marwān came to me from him when I

had departed from him with the best of what he had bestowed on me,

with twenty young camels that al-Ṣaʿb had driven in,

through the kindness of brotherhood and friends:

not choice black milch-camels marked by

milk, nor full-grown camels from a white, well-bred herd.
