    يرد شباه عنك ولا فرارُ

    The allotted fate has come; no patient endurance

    Can ward off its sharp edge from you, nor can flight.

  2. وليس تقدمي خرقاً ولكن

    لغير الحرب تدخل الوقار

    My advance is not recklessness, but

    You bring dignified restraint to matters other than war.
