وما أخشى قُصُوراً عن مرامٍ

وما أخشى قُصُوراً عن مرامٍ

ومثلُك لي إلى الدنيا شفيعي

ومثلُك لي إلى الدنيا شفيعي

And I fear no falling short of a goal,

I do not fear falling short of my hopes,

for one like you is my intercessor with the world.

For one like you is my intercessor in this world.

ومِثلُك لا يُنَبَّه غير أنَّا

ومِثلُك لا يُنَبَّه غير أنَّا

أتانا الأمرُ بالذِّكرِ النَّفُوعِ

أتانا الأمرُ بالذِّكرِ النَّفُوعِ

And one like you needs no reminding; yet we

One like you is not reproached, except that

have received the command to give beneficial reminders.

We were commanded to remember the noble.
