لا بد للمعتلِّ من آسي

لا بد للمعتلِّ من آسي

والناس في دنياك بالنَّاس

والناس في دنياك بالنَّاس

The ailing cannot do without a healer.

And people in your world depend on one another.

وحامل الرقعة ذو حاجة

وحامل الرقعة ذو حاجة

قضاؤها ما فيه من باس

قضاؤها ما فيه من باس

And the bearer of the note has a need.

There is no harm in fulfilling it.

فاشفع له تؤجر وإن لم تجد

فاشفع له تؤجر وإن لم تجد

فسلِّه إن شئت أو واس

فسلِّه إن شئت أو واس

So intercede for him and be rewarded; and if you lack the means,

then console him, if you wish, or offer him support.
