وإني على بعد الديار وربها

وتغيير مغتاب وتغيير عاتبِ

Though far from home, still I praise its Lord,

And blame not those who blame, or take offense,

لشاكر ما أسديته من مكارم

وآثر ما أبديته من مناقب

But thank the generous for their noble deeds,

And honor those who act with excellence.
