It stretches a covering over its branch,
And displays its girdle at the waist.
فمنso whoever شاءwishes صيرهmakes it مقعداa seat
فمن شاء صيره مقعدا
ومنand whoever شاءwishes صيرهmakes it مرفقهhis elbow-rest
ومن شاء صيره مرفقه
So whoever wishes makes it a seat,
And whoever wishes makes it his elbow-rest.
إذاwhen ظلkeeps ينشدrecites ماwhat قدalready طواهfolded it away
إذا ظل ينشد ما قد طواه
أرىshowed الحاضرينthose present بماwith what أوسقهloaded it
أرى الحاضرين بما أوسقه
When it keeps reciting what it had already folded away,
It shows those present what it had been laden with:
