Now smoldering, now flaring
وغداand has become الجمرthe embers والرمادand the ash عليهupon it
وغدا الجمر والرماد عليه
فيin قميصينtwo shirts مذهبgilded ومعنبرand scented with ambergris
في قميصين مذهب ومعنبر
And the embers, with ash upon them, are now
