  1. وذات احمرار صادق اللون خلقها

    أرتنا بأعكان لها شطب الفصل

    And one whose true red hue was hers by nature

    Showed us, in her folds, the grooves of a cutting blade.

  2. قد انتحلت لونا من النحل ناصعا

    ليعلم ما تحويه من عسل النحل

    She has assumed a brilliant hue from the bees,

    So the bees’ honey she holds within might be known.
