إلا إذا وقيته بغطاء

A vessel does not safeguard what is entrusted to it

unless you protect it with a cover.

فإذا جعلت له الغطاء فإنه

بجميع ما استودعت خير إناء

بجميع ما استودعت خير إناء

So when you give it a cover, it is

the best vessel for all you have entrusted to it.

فاحفظ إناءك بالغطاء فإنه

لا خير في أرض بغير سماء

لا خير في أرض بغير سماء

So protect your vessel with a cover, for indeed

there is no good in a land without a sky.
