And the rose of Qahabiyya’s garden—
Roses of the thorny garden

The full moon brought me back to life

يَوْمَ اجْتَمَعْنا غَدْوَةَ البَيْنِ
As though it were my cheek against his cheek
As though it were my cheek on his cheek
the day we met, on the morning of parting.
The day we met at the break of morn
