دُموعيmy tears فيكَfor you أَنْواءٌrainstorms غِزارُcopious
دُموعي فيكَ أَنْواءٌ غِزارُ
وقَلْبيand my heart ماnot يَقُرُّrests لَهُfor it قَرارُrest
وقَلْبي ما يَقُرُّ لَهُ قَرارُ
My tears for you are copious rainstorms;
My tears in you are pouring rain
And my heart finds no rest.
And my heart knows no peace or rest
وكُلُّand every فَتىًyoung man عَلاهُhas covered him ثَوْبُa robe سُقْمٍsickness
وكُلُّ فَتىً عَلاهُ ثَوْبُ سُقْمٍ
فَذاكَthen that الثَّوْبُthe robe مِنّيfrom me مُسْتَعارُborrowed
فَذاكَ الثَّوْبُ مِنّي مُسْتَعارُ
And every youth draped in a robe of sickness—
Every youth clothed in the garb of sickness
That robe, then, is borrowed from me.
Has borrowed that garb from me
