واشْرَبْ وهَاتِ الكَبيرَ وانْتَحِبِ
Bring me close to the wine jar—may my father be your ransom.
Come close with the wine, my life for you, father,
And drink; bring the large cup, and sob.
Drink and pour the large cup and lament.

Do you not see the dew, how it gleams in
Don't you see how the Pleiades shine
the eyes of blossoms that beckon to delight?
In the eyes of light that invite joy?
فيin كُلِّevery عَيْنٍeye لِلطَّلِّof the dew لُؤْلُؤْةٌa pearl

In every eye lies a pearl of dew,
In each eye for the Pleiades there is a pearl
like a tear upon a weeper's eyelids.
Like a teardrop in the lids of a lamenter.

And dawn's keen swords have been unsheathed,
And morning has unsheathed its blades.
and night has resolved to flee from it.
And night has thought of fleeing from it.

And the sky wears a musk-scented robe,
And the air is in a solid dress
which lightning has inscribed in gold.
That the lightning wrote in gold.

So bring it like a bride, red of

Amber had it not been of grapes.

From a palm pleased with rejections when
I have, for love of him, grown angry at anger itself.
It was angry in its love over anger.

If you could see the cup as he mixes it,
So if you see the cup when he mixes it
you would see one of the most wondrous marvels:
You see something of the most amazing wonders.
