  1. مَسلمَ يا مسلحة الحروبِ

    انت المصفىّ من اذى العيوب

    Maslam, O bulwark of war,

    You are purified of the taint of faults,

  2. مصاصة من كرم وطيب

    لولا ثقاف ليس بالتدبيب

    The pure essence of generosity and goodness.

    Were it not for a straightening rod—not stealthy creeping—

  3. تفرى به عن حجب القلوب

    لامست الامة شاء الذيب

    With which you tear away the veils of hearts,

    The community would have become the wolf's sheep.
