تمنيتُ أن ألقاهُما وتمنّتا

فلما التقَينا استَحيَتا من مُناهُما

I wished to meet them both, and they both wished the same.

So when we met, they both grew shy of what they had wished.

بكت هذه وانهلّ ادمعُ هذه

بكت هذه وانهلّ ادمعُ هذه

وفاضت دموعي في عِراض بُكاهُما

وفاضت دموعي في عِراض بُكاهُما

This one wept, and that one's tears streamed down.

And my tears overflowed alongside the weeping of them both.
