ليس عيدُ المحب قصدَ المصَلَّى
وانتظارَand awaiting الجيوشthe armies والأعوانِand the helpers
وانتظارَ الجيوش والأعوانِ
The lover’s Eid is not making for the prayer ground,
The lover’s festival is not going to the prayer ground,
nor waiting for the armies and the helpers.

إنماonly العيدthe festival أنthat تكونyou be لدىin the presence of الحِبthe beloved (word continues)
إنما العيد أن تكون لدى الحِب

Eid is only this: to be near the beloved—
