الغَيمُthe cloud رطبٌmoist يناديcalls out
الغَيمُ رطبٌ ينادي
ياO غافلينheedless ones الصَبوحُthe morning draught
يا غافلين الصَبوحُ
The cloud, heavy with rain, calls out:
The cloud is moist and calls out:
The morning clouds call to the heedless:
O heedless ones—the morning draught!
O heedless ones, the morning draught!
“Awake, awake, O sleepers!”

And I replied, “Welcome, gladly welcome,
So I said: welcome, welcome,
And I bid them welcome, for the spirit’s breath
so long as spirit remains in the body.”
as long as a soul remains in the body.
Still stirs within this mortal frame of death.
