وتحسَبُني حياً وإنّي لميِّتٌ

وتحسَبُني حياً وإنّي لميِّتٌ

وبعضي من الهِجران يبكي على بعض

وبعضي من الهِجران يبكي على بعض

You think me alive, though truly I am dead;

And you think me alive, though I am surely dead.

and, from the pain of separation, one part of me weeps for another.

And part of me, from separation, weeps over another part.
