رُهبانُmonks مَدينَMidian والذينand those whom عهِدتُهُمI have known them
رُهبانُ مَدينَ والذين عهِدتُهُم
يبكونthey weep منout of حذرfear of العِقابِthe punishment قُعوداseated
يبكون من حذر العِقابِ قُعودا
The monks of Midian and those I have known
weep, seated, in fear of punishment.
لوif يسمعونthey hear كماas سمعتُI heard كلامَهاher words
لو يسمعون كما سمعتُ كلامَها
خَرُّواthey fell down لعزةَbefore ‘Azza رُكَّعاًbowing وسجوداand prostrating
خَرُّوا لعزةَ رُكَّعاً وسجودا
Were they to hear her words as I heard them,
they would fall down before ‘Azza, bowing and prostrating.
