فسا الشيخ سهوا وفي كفّه

شرابٌ فلمناه لوماً قبيحا

شرابٌ فلمناه لوماً قبيحا

The old man farted by accident, and in his hand was

The old man made a mistake unwittingly,

A drink; so we reproached him harshly.

With a drink in his hand, so I reproached him harshly.

فقال لي الدخل والخرج لي

فقال لي الدخل والخرج لي

فأدخلت راحاًً وأخرجت ريحا

فأدخلت راحاًً وأخرجت ريحا

He said, “Mine is the intake, and the output is mine;

He said to me, "Coming and going are up to me!"

So I took in wine and let out wind.”

So I came in gently and went out rudely.
