بعينيكما فالضوء قد يورث العمى

With your eyes, for light may cause blindness.

ولا تعجباً أن يملك العبد ربه

ولا تعجباً أن يملك العبد ربه

فإن الدمى استعبدن من نحت الدمى

فإن الدمى استعبدن من نحت الدمى

And do not marvel that the slave should possess his master,

Be not amazed if the servant rules his lord

For idols have enslaved the one who carved them.

For statues have enslaved those who carved statues
