وابن العميد مغيَّبٌ مقبورُ
O Time, it is someone else you have deceived with falsehood,
O fate, save me from the one you deceived in vain,
while Ibn al-Amid lies hidden, buried.
And the son of the leader is absent, buried.

Your world, for happiness is an illusion.

A man - if infidelity looked good after him,
fate would be reviled and destiny rebuked.
Destiny would be enraged and intention foiled.

My friend, if you went blind, it would be trivial.

For a month, though plants live for months.
