مخافة أن يقتصَّ مني لها الدهرُ
And many a night whose sweetness I do not reveal to Time,
How many a night whereof I know not its delight
for fear that Time would take revenge on me for it.
Lest fate requite me for a night that fled

Envies the girth of old Khosrow
as the celestial spheres envy Fana-Khusraw’s sandal.
